Question from australia.
Hi everyone,
My name is Andrew and im writing from australia.
Just a quick question regarding the skunk2 intake manifold straight bolted onto a Integra Gsr (vtir here). From what i've been told it since you're losing the dual butterfly's of the original manifold it creates a flatspot in power at a certain rpm.
I was thinking, if I could use a basic vtec controller and re adjust the vtec engagement point this may help this.
Has anyone had experience with this?
Thanks,
Andrew

Yes, you need to raise the VTEC point if a single-runner intake manifold is used. Keep in mind that you need to have it dyno-tuned to get it dialed in correctly.
But really to make the most of that IM you need to upgrade cams and valvetrain, and then have it tuned. Otherwise it's kind of a waste of money.

Yeah I was thinking id just have to do dyno runs.
I have headwork waiting to get installed but it's not going to get done for a while so id like something to install.
Ill just hire a dyno so I can do a few runs.
Thank you for your fast reply
