88-91 Civic uprights
Hey guys, I am just looking for some advice. I have a 90 Civic SI that i luv and want to bring back to full working condition. I have done quite a bit of suspension work on it but have found that the lower balljoints are shot. Is it possible to remove and replace the ball joins on their own or should i just go searching for some old but decent condition ones from a wrecker? I havn;t been able to find some aftermarket ones yet but i am still looking. Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thank you.

hey man im pretty sure they sell them aftermarket....if i were u, i wud try a Napa....they usually got some aftermarket ish if ur looking for it....if not i do beleive 92-95 civics also have similar ball joints as well...the problem being is if u try to go to a wrecker its more like a hit and run...youlll either get lucky and get a good pair...or they might just go within a matter of days...good luck
if you want to replace just the lower ball joint, you need a special tool [you can rent]to press them in/out. if you find a decent set at the junkyard, get the whole knuckle/hub, and it will be cheaper, but a shorter term fix.
