Wouldn't the non-HID headlights come with halogen projectors and the HID headlights have the proper HID projectors?

Pre 98 ITR are the black housing lights that have halogen projectors
Post 98 ITR are black housing with HID projectors
integra SIR-G are the chrome housing headlights.

The 98+ OEM HID's are well worth the extra couple bucks. I originally had the Pre 98 ITR headlights with a PnP HID Kit, then I upgraded to the 98 spec OEM HID's and I couldn't be happier and I will never go back to a plug and play HID kit ever again.

its hard to say now man, they're a 10 year old set of lights, its all going to depend on the shape their in. I found my in Dubai and had them shipped over for about $700 a couple years ago.

Incorrect.

Chrome housing = all non-ITR 96-01 Integras (black housing may have been optional)
Black housing halogen = standard equipment on all 96-01 ITR's
Black housing HID = optional equipment on 98-01 ITR's

huh? That statement is kinda redundant I think LOL

HID projectors were optional equipment for 98-01 ITR's in Japan.

Try the Integra pic thread, or there are some JDM-front Integra pic threads in Appearance/Cosmetic.

Do not make a pic thread or a request for pic thread here in the Integra tech forum.

theres is a noticeable cutoff different from the non-hid headlights and the hid headlights. pay the extra $$$ and get the hid projector ones.
i have a driver side HID itr headlight if anyone is interested, all you need to do is find the passenger side

No, what he's saying is that the 96-01 ITR's came stock with black housing and hallogen projectors. It was the buyers option to upgrade to the HID projectors. I'm pretty sure that its the same case with any vehicle purchase, its a choice to upgrade. Someone plz correct me if i'm wrong though.

There are some cars with HID as standard equipment - previous-gen and current-gen TL's, TSX, current RL's, S2000's.

Actually in Japan the base S2000 had halogen projectors. In the US, all S2000's get HID as standard equipment.

it just means that the headlights that come with the front end will have halogens and not HID bulbs.
