I am looking for an exhaust for my ef hatch and im not sure which one to go with, but i think i narrowed it down to three. im deciding between skunk2 megapower, invidia n1 or buddy club spec 2, any oppinions would help thanks.

 

well i dont know about the s2 or invidia but i have the bc spec 2 on my crx now and its loud haha. sounds great and deep from 1 to 3k but the only prob is a little after 3 cus then it gets raspy, but after that though sounds like an f 1 car haha. what motor, manifold, or testpipe/cat do u have?

 

i have an b18a1 ls swap, rmf narrow header w/ 2.5" test pipe. How is the spec 2 on your car on the highway is it really loud and do you use your silencer if it helps.

 

well i got a d15b2 w/ mpfi and the basic bolt ons including a dc header and an omni test pipe and it sounds pretty good so im guessing urs will sound pretty much the same besies the .3 displacement advantage. ive ran it a couple of times w/ the silencer and it sounds almost stock but w/ some raspyness. on the highway there is some drone but im also cruising at 70 at 3.5k. and the ls trans is longer geared so may be a big quiter

 

its not like running open header is it? thats how im running right now until i get an exhaust and i was cruisin on the highway and went deaf lol, so with the silencer driving daily its not bad?

 

I have the skunk2 megapower for my CRX with a b16a. It is a bit loud but i LOVE it and its a great sound. Even my domestic buddies and truck buddies say it sounds awesome, not raspy or fart can. I would recommend it.

 

haha im running like that now cus the 2 bolts broke on the testpipe, loud is an under statement. no its quiter than that and has a deep tone to it, just too much for some people. yeah if the cops are always lookin for someone to mess with i would recomend the silencer in it.

Same here but is is a little better with the silencer installed.

 

Yeah it is quieter but it restricts the exhaust way too much for my R swap. I hooked a boost gauge up to the test pipe with the silencer installed and was building about 10 psi of back pressure.

 

I had a 2.25" exhaust made for my civic (with a B16A) and a straight through magnaflow muffler, test pipe, and magnaflow tip... check out how it sounds on the dyno:

in my opinion a little buzzy on the low end, but above that it sounded pretty good i think.

 

Yeah mine is way louder than that. It sounds like a Kawasaki Ninja at wide open throttle.

i was trying to keep it quiet, while maintaining a straight through muffler... don't like buzzy exhausts heh.

 

I dont think quiet and straight through exists. Check the apexi world sport
