Default Crx with B18a1?

I currently own a 1988 Honda Crx SI with an obo b18a1 that I swapped in it. As of right now it is in stock form with 94k miles. I stumped on what to do. Either build up the head or go ls/vtec. Im trying to make the power of a stock b18c1 gsr motor. What would you guys do if you were in my situation? Thanks

Yeah I know it sound's kind of dumb, but a gsr head is $300 then id have to get the head gasket, arp head studs, intake manifold, throttle body,ls/vtec kit. My concern is it possible to make a b18a1 just as quick as a gsr with an upgraded valvetrain, intake aswell a good header?
