2008 accord oil light

Default 2008 accord oil light

I got my oil changed when a wrench and 15% oil life appeared on my dash. the light wont go off and now it says 5% oil life. does it need to be reset at the dealership?

it shouldve dissappeared once they changed the oil and started back at 100%...

If you had it changed at the dealer, they should have reset the maintenance minder. However, you can do it yourself, as it is shown in the owner's manual:

its on a millage timer, not a sensor.

there is a different sequence on the 07+ Hondas that most non-dealer oil change places don't know how to do.
there is a guide in the owners manual that shows how to reset the timer

alrite thanks. i checked the oil and it was definitely changed. guess ill just have to reset the timer myself
