Icon2 tail/brake light connector. You guess the CRX!

Hi - new to the board but hope you can help me! I need a tail/brake light connector for my car as both lights only work intermittently and the connector looks corroded so I'll replace that to see if it sorts it out (already tried the bulbs).

It's a CRX 1.5X, Chassis EF6 (according to the logbook) imported from Japan and registered here in 1999 but I don't know what year it was manufactured (other than the 87-91 timeframe).

Anyone out there got any idea of exact date of manufacture OR of where I can get a connector that will fit?

Thanks

If not, then maybe a junk yard or try the marketplace here on the site.

BTW - please take a look ove the forum rules.

Shouldn't there be a production date somewhere on the car, like a door jamb or under the hood?

Thank you both for replying so fast. Can't link to the automotiveparts site

However, next time it stops raining I shall seek a date on my car to help things along. Excellent to see 'jamb' spelled correctly, btw!

sorry for the rules transgression

ahh yes that looks familiar. Thank you!

Here are two pics I took of the connectors and bulbs.

The first shows the bulb/connector as per Number 2 above - the tail-light. The bulb filament is in good shape but the light doesn't work. No loose wires that i can see and the contacts look clean, so no idea where to go from there.

This the corroded connector to the tail/brake light (No1 in above table). The bulb is brand new and the TAIL light works but the brake light only works intermittently.

There is a plaque on the door jamb that gives a whole bunch of info - all in Japanese - but doesn't appear to show the year of manufacture (numbers are readable).

The lights either side of these two (indicator and reversing light) work fine.

If anyone can give me any help on repairing these lights myself - or telling me what connectors I should be asking for at a scrapyard - I'd be very grateful, as every time I take it to a garage they just charge me for new bulbs and the lights still don't work!

Thanks

well for that first plug connection you can cut off the license plate light sockets and fit those on there, probably other civic plugs will fit the rest.
