adding seat heater?
i was thinking about adding a seat heater in my 00 accord ex, its got leather seats and in the winter it sucks early in the morning... summit sells a kit for about 100 bucks for a seat heater bottom and back. i was wondering how hard it is to remove the leather and get it back on in good condition??
it shouldn't be too hard.
I haven't removed the leather off Accord seats but I did last spring on my other car. It has leather and I wanted seat heaters for the same reason. Found a good deal in a group buy on a different forum and bought a set for my front seats. I love them!
I bought my seats from this company..

I've had them in my car for a year now and they are doing fine.
I ran a wire directly off the battery to a relay. Then ran a wire from a switching power source so the seats would only be on while the car was on. Then hooked the seats heaters into the relay.
Installation of the heating elements themselves aren't bad, just make sure you route your wires so they don't get pinched by reclining the seat back. New hog rings and hog ring pliers make things easier when reinstalling the seat bottom cover.
When running the wires in the car just make sure the wires have enough slack to allow for seat movement back and forth and also make sure the wires don't get caught up in the tracks.
