Default Gsr vtec problems

I have a b16 with a gsr head just put together and have about 1k on it, its running on a p-28, vtec is kicking in and out, i changed the oil pump and it didnt solve it, then i changed the solenoid, it was good for 2 days then started acting up again, it always works when the car is cold and opens and closes when warm

Any ideas???

Does it really work when it's cold? I thought vtec doesn't engage until it warms up?

check your oil level. my gsr burns oil, and about 2500 miles into an oil change it will jump in and out of vtec, I just add half a quart and I make it to the 3000 mark.

check ur wiring for vtec & check the ecu, it might be a messed up chip. its a b-series chipped ecu right? not stock SOHC p28? A Stock p28 can not power any b-series motor and will damage the motor.

If ur running a stock p28, that is ur problem

my B16 did that and it was bad spark plug wires...the vtec would work great then it was cold and when it got warm the whole motor would run like poop
