OT: AC Jack Warrenty and Service?
As I type this my roommate is holding up a Toyota 4Runner with my AC DK20 jack using no jack stands, nothing. So this got me thinking; what kind of warrenty does this jack have and how do I get it fixed?
Anyone know? I have a feeling it's gonna need to be fixed.

it is supposed to have a lifetime warranty. check this site out:

they say only a 5 year warranty, but i thought i read on the instructions of my AC that it was lifetime. i will look for my instructions and get back to you.

It's not going to blow the seals out from a 4 runner. Besides, you'll know if it works still or not.
Oh, and go beat your roomate over the head w/ a 2x4 and tell him to multiply the pain by about a million, because that's what it's going to feel like if the truck falls on him.
If you're curious, the AC factory is in Maryland. Real nice looking area too for a factory.

you should be fine with the jack, unless he is trying to lift the entire truck with the jack, if it is just the fron or the rear its fine, but i dont think he should be suppourting it with the jack. and i could not find the instruction...sorry
The DK20 jack is rated to lift 4400 pounds.
Lifting two wheels of the 4Runner means you are lifting maybe half the weight of a 4000-pound truck. This should be no problem for the jack.
Jack stands are ALWAYS recommended when you're working under the car, but they're for the protection of the person working under the car, not for the jack. Unless his name is Jack.
And if he's not using jack stands, he don't know jack.
