WTF! crx b18 swap.Search and asked. Help!
i just dropped my car down on my b18a1 engine and trans.
After crying, over having to beat my frame rail in.
i got the two side mounts in.
lifted car up and went to put my front cradle back in. The front mount ears are hitting the tans/motor.
I did months of research before i got into this swap.
No one ever said anything about this problem.
is it that my swap mounts are crap?
or Is this common?
Also is there a good or easy way to put a front mount back in?
i got the mount on the rear subframe and realized i am missing some backet.
Do i just use the integra rear mount bracket?
Thanks for any help guys

i have the same swap in my rex and the shop i had do it just beat the front mount flat and didn't use a front mount. and yes u need to use the rear t-bracket
i am a little confused on the wiring behind the motor.
wont plug to one sensor
and it looks like i have a extra sensor on the t-stat housing
no wires seem to go to.
A run down would be nice
Is any one running a front mount set up?
I would like to use a front mount. worried about movement, mount degredation, wheel hop ect....
i have the b18 axle set up
pr4 chipped and programed ecu
the wiring connectors to swap over to ob1 inj, disty, jumper harness
wont plug to one sensor

no you cannot, and whats with people trying to hijack this guys thread. its getting ridiculous.
people do not run a front mount when doing b-series swaps, there just isn't enough room for them. i dropped my ls in from above and there is probably less than a 1/4 inch of clearance between the mount ears and the transmission. i imagine this would probably hit if you are bringing up the engine/trans from below. just beat the bracket down or cut it off entirely, its not necessary. You do need a da rear t bracket though, and it must be off a car that had a manual transmission.
The connector on the back of the engine that moved is the coolant fan switch. you need to extend the wires that sit along the back of the block, up to the thermostat housing. that's where your new fan switch is located. try and get your hands on the proper connector if you can.

On the wiring are you talking about #30 cause when my cousin and his buddies did mine they didn't wire #30. No plug for it. They said I didn't need it. As for the mounts you can't have a front mount, it will hit the crossmember. My cousin made a cut on mine. You can try to beat it down to see if it works, if not cut it off. As for the beating on the frame you will need to beat it right where the alternator goes for clearance.

As for front mount your best bet is to buy innovative mounts front traction bar. Their traction bars have a front mount. You have to buy the front mount seperate.

thanks for all the help!!
i will cut ears off, grind down, and re-paint where the mount goes
maybe fabricate one later if need
need to do more research on the wiring

i also have a two wire sensor on the back of the block right by the oil sending unit
i thought i would just hook up the two wires to that sensor
but i think that is the knock sensor? which i think i will have to wire to the computer

knock the front mount ears flat. dont need them.
so i have to move the two wire to the thermo housing

if the back of the block looks like this...(lack of 2 prong fan switch connector)

then you need to move/extend those wires over to the coolant housing and connect them here...
thats exactly what i got
but i was missing the green connecter you have there
what is that sensor.
i see the wires on my harness so i will get a connector end and plug that up.
my junper harness instructions said to hook up to knock sensor.
threw me off.
guess they are made to fit all setups.
thank for the help!!

not quite.. none of the ls engine have knock sensors regardless of the year. the picture i posted just happened to be of a newer dohc vtec engine.
ok so now i am more confused than ever.
i thought i had it all worked out.
ive been doing research for months. but there was a lot of wrong info.
and there is stuff i never read or heard about
i have a green sensor by my oil pressure switch.
what is that?
i have the fire wall mounted map from a 92. can i use this? i assumed i could ,but at this point??
i also have a little square two wire plug (on the same harness and area as the oil pressure sw ,icv, alt) what does that go to?
also ,
my hood hits the engine,
my smog or whatever is a two wire
the one from the 92 integra has 4 wires
sup with that
