Under what conditions did it fail?
New main, and rod bearings, thrust washers, and oem type r oil pump, water pump.
Have the block, and head deck checked, check the cam journals for scoring as well as all the oil passages in the head
Turn crank, bore cylinders depending on clearances
Then order bearings, pistons, and rings, full gasket, set ect.ect.

OP, you are on the right track. If the motor has a spun rod bearing trash the crank and rods.

Deck the block, hone the cylinder walls or go overbore to ensure the cylinders aren't tapered or out of round. Have the rotating assembly balanced, double measure clearances such as: bearing, ring, and piston to wall clearances. Use a new oil pump, water pump, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, also now would be the time to paint the block and install an aftermarket oil pressure gauge if you're interested. New ARP head studs would also be a nice investment.
