problem: ac does not work
abnormalties noticed: ac button still turns green when pressed, rpm does not jump when ac button is pressed, no noticeable engagement, ac fan does not come on, blows ambient temp air.
Have checked: all fuses and relays, ac transistor on blower motor, belt.
i think it may be the thermal protector [ 38908-PLM-A12 ] on the compressor, ive heard of people jumping the two blue wires and the ac working... ide opt to replace the part instead.. apparently its a common failure but when searching on here for it i didnt see any mention of it.
wondering if anyone else has any ideas before i go rippin into this thing

Could be a few things, compressor could be damaged or u could have a leak in ur condenser and thus the gas has leaked out.
My dc5 had the same issue which was resolved by finding the leak in the condenser, sealing it and re gas and thats it.
Hopefully thats ur issue as well because a compressor cna be pricey

well the only reason i threw recharge out was because i figgured even if it was low or had a hole that it would still engage. my dc5 did when it had none in it.
