EK JDM Front Grill Vs. Removing H of USDM one?

Is there any difference between the JDM front grill on an ek compared to just removing the H off the usdm one off an si/em1

JDM '95-'00 Civic (coupe/hatch and sedan) grilles look the same as the USDM '96-'00 Civics (coupe/hatch and sedan) grilles.

The Si and CTR are the unique ones, which I assume you're referring to. I've heard Si and CTR mesh might have a difference of two holes in the mesh and recently have heard CTR mesh might be metal (which I doubt), but I've never seen conformation on either of these accusations.
