Default trouble turning left only

So I was on my 10 hour drive to Richmond VA from Murfreesboro TN and right in Roanoke I went to turn left and noticed some resistance than it got easier to turn after that initial resistance. I noticed a lot of grease on the inside of my passenger rim and immediately thought axle. I jack the car up and the axle boots are good as new and still loaded with grease. My Lower Ball joints were torn and had no grease in them since the day I purchased the car.

Any idea what could cause this trouble, only when turning left, and only initially? Like I said it goes normal almost immediately.

steering rack? you may want to put the car on jackstands and get someone to turn the steering while you check for visuals, will also help to see if ti does the same thing while the suspension isnt loaded.
