crx single vtec bogging, cant figure out.
91 crx hf
d16y7 block/ y8 head and manifold.
have 4 wire o2 wired correctly
0bd1 dizzy with obd0 coverted harness correct
vtec sensor and pressure switch wired up correctly
obd1 jumper with a p28
im still having a bog problem after i drive in gear consistanly for a long time, it bogs out of each gear up until like 2500 then picks up like normal. but it only starts to bog after i drive for awhile with it in one gear constantly, so if i drive normal to the speed limit then pop it in neutral for a lil then put it in gear again (repeat process) it wont bog. it also has a small idle bounce from like 1100-1500. oh and it drives fine even in gear while its cold.
so when i got the car the IAT sensor was just hanging in the engine bay so i rerouted it to my intake pipe
. i cleaned my iacv
. was gonna check the fitv but the tb doesn't have one(could that be a problem?) it just has the two coolant ports on the bottom. checked tps its working fine
. the map sensor on the throttle body wasnt being used he had another one near the firewall with a vaccum line extended from the cruise control spot on the y8 mani, so soldered and extended the wires to use the one on the tb and blocked off the cc vacuum
. i flushed my coolant for any air bubbles
.
sorry so long but heres the questions
i throw a CEL #43 (fuel system) every once in awhile not always, i'd say 20% of the time. got any ideas? i dont think its fuel filter and my fuel pump is operating properly. besides this code im not throwing any other CEL's.
on the pass. side of engine bay you know how the crx's have all the vaccum lines and the firewall map sensor there? theres two plugs one for the map that i already extended and another plug to the other vacuum lines. none of those vacuum lines connect anywhere do i even need that whole crap? and if not what happens with that extra plug?
do i need a knock sensor to be wired up aswell?
does it sound like im missing anything?
well my bad for the long as **** get back to me if you can thanks. as much input and help would be greatly appreciated.
heres some pics of the engine bay let me know if you see anything. (this was before i did the things i mentioned so disregard things i already stated. i will put updated pics soon.
the vacuum hoses that i was talking about are in the top left corner of this pic*
