I have a white 2000 integra ls stock 70,000 miles brake pads, oil, clutch change at 60,000miles. this happen to me a couple of times. I start up my car and drop the emergency brake. i drive off and my emergency light is on even though i let go of the emergency brake. after driving about 5 minutes i push my regular brake and it goes away... I asked my friends about this and they said check my brake fluid. i checked it and its fine. What is causing this problem?

Top off the reservoir to the max line with brake fluid.

If that light is on and your brake fluid is good, you may have a sticky switch under your emergency brake. It makes the light on the dash come on when you pull it up so you don't forget the e-brake.
