Default OEM axles?

I need to replace my axles on my DA and the place I'm getting them from only takes cores if they are OEM. So how can I tell if my current axles are OEM Honda or not? It will save my a decent amount of cash if they are, I'm just not sure how to tell. All I know is they are old, covered in dirt and grease, and havent had any grease in the boots for atleast the past year. But amazing enough they still drive fine with no clicks or vibration of any kind.

How can you tell just by looking at them or pulling them off and looking at them? Why don't you just rebuild the axle?

You can't rebuild the outer joints.

OP just go somewhere that isn't so stingy that they only take OEM cores. That's dumb as hell.

Well whether or not I get a price break on a core I'm ordering from this company. I have bought many sets of axles from them and have been impressed with every set.

So are there any quick ways to see if my axles are OEM or not? My knee is currently messed up and jacking the car up and taking a wheel off is about as much as I can do right now.

most shops wont even look if it is the oem part. just buy the parts and return your core in the same box the new axle came in. ive returned plenty of parts that i was not sure was an oem part .

If it has the rubber balancer thingy in the middle of the axle shaft, then most likely it's OEM. Most rebuilts do not have those.
