2. no since your car that new...the insurance wiill go and base on the kbb. from what i know...maybe a little bit less
3.about from within 1 week to 2 months..

i know..my dad got his 07 civic si stolen and then give him 16g for it..and is have about 13,000k
wow i didnt know anyone was stealing new civics =( dang i park my sedan in the driveway =/ sorry to hear about your car dude. i know when i totaled my last honda (fit) i had 50,000 miles on it and i had it for a year. my insurance gave me almost what i paid for it.... i heard AAA is very good to their customers. i dont think your rate will go up because i dont believe the car is a *high risk* car. like an integra or older civic. good luck, i hope it all works out for you

I recommended getting GAP insurance (got mine from my dealer) for your next car. If the car is deemed a total loss (from either a crash or being stolen) the GAP insurance covers the difference (if there is any) between the amount the insurance company pays you and the amount you owe on the car. Thus, you don't have to pay off a car that you don't have anymore.
There has been a couple break-ins in my hood, but no thefts have been reported by the 6th gen crew I roll with. I have a cop one house over and another 2 houses down who leave their cars on the street. That helps I think.
Theft will only become more popular as our cars get older, its inevitable.

macomb huh? im from auburn hills...i dont understand how people can steal these newer cars...is there not a passlock or something to hinder theft or at least some kind of alarm? definately not a low jack theif...even still if you have the ability to steal it why steal a civic?
I'm interested in how they stole it, seeing as it has an immobilizer system. Have you misplaced any keys lately? Only other quick option for the thieves would be to tow it, do you live on a hill? They may have rolled it out of your drive way to a truck.
Whatever the case is, its unfortunate that it happened.

I don't believe that any aftermarket alarm system would "disable" the immobilizer system. In a vehicle with an immobilizer system, the pcm needs to verify the encrypted code stored within the programmed key is correct before it turns on the fuel pump.
That's a huge liability issue if an aftermarket alarm disabled the immobilizer system, i would think that you would have a case against the maker of the alarm system or the installer if that was the case.

Well, i guess that is true. I'm sure they would have it in writing somewhere. However, this is all just speculation but does anyone for sure know if any aftermarket alarms bypass/disable the immobilizer system?
Sorry to hear about the car being stolen.
Just my opinion, but it is 100% useless to put an alarm on a Honda nowadays. Theft is so rampant in them, that most of the time, all you're doing, is letting the theif know they need to learn how to disable it, and to bring a tow truck.
Sucks, but if they want it, they're going to get it...really makes owning these great cars a total pain in the ***. I dont modify mine, so its not like its a big money pit that would be devistating to lose. If it gets stolen one day, ill be pissed, but I guess thats something we have to face as Si owners

damn. thats crazy!
how are they gettin the newer cars anyways?
kpro + universal honda key? i can see this being used on kswapped cars with no immobolizers...i just don't get how they take the newer cars unless they tow them.

If you were driving down the road next to another car and you clipped them, who would be the higher risk driver? You.
If you live in the ghetto in an area with high crime rates and I live in an upper class neighborhood with low crime, who would be the higher risk driver? You.
People who's cars are at a higher risk of damage pay more for their insurance.
