ED8/ED9 Suspension Differences
Is there any difference between the ED8 and ED9 as far as the suspension goes?
I'm trying to find the correct suspension from Tein. I just bought a rear disc setup off of a 91 si. But i still have my stock 88 setup for the front. Tein sells a different setup for the ED8 and ED9 and i'm wondering what the actuall difference is

i dont even know what ED8 and ED9 mean, but it may just be a difference of rear lower control arm styles.
theres no other reason the suspension would be different.

ed9 = crx si
ed8 = crx 'dx' or hf.
i dont think itd be any different from each other.
88 crx came with a type r type rear lca. unless you dont wanna keep that [imo you should] any suspension from 89-95 crx/civic should work. if you do decide to keep the type r type rear lca your going to need a different type of rear shocks, the same ones you use with the actual type r rear lcas.
dont know if you get it or not. but i have a 89 crx si and im using 95 integra kyb agx with coilovers and it works great.
also keep in mind that if you wanna use shocks from the years 92-95 youre going to have to use the front shock 'fork' from a 92-95, cause it has a wider shock than the 89-91.
type r/ 88 crx suspension setup looks similar to this:

regular 89-95 civic/crx suspension setup looks similar to this:

alright, im not sure if im making any sense to you. haha.
