Ok so my car(91 civic si) won't start. 1st off a few months ago it got stolen and motor got stripped and whatnot now the only thing I have noticed that the fools did was pull the fuel return line feed somewhat out of the fire wall other than that havnt noticed anything out of place. Now the motor I just put in is a stock d16a6 out of my buddys 89 si for a swap and was RUNNING FINE. The only thing I did was put a different harness on it of the same motor If I hadn't done this before I would think I didn't know what I was doing but I've done it plenty of times. I've checked everything I could think of, Spark,fuel, grounds. I just don't know,I really want to make it to my local honda-tech meet on the 4th this sat. So if any body has any ideas just let me know please..and thank you.

fuses?

does it crank?

have you run a compression test?

battery voltage?

timing set properly?

when was the first time this happen? What did you change that may have caused this to happen?

did you try putting the old harness back in to see if the problem resolves?

If so, it could be a bad wire lead somewhere...

 

I don't have the other harness its on my buddys motor,I checked the fuses in the fuse box under the hood all good I'm going to check all the rest tomorrow. And its not the best harness but its the only one I have right now. So when I pulled this motor out of my friends car it ran fine we drove into the garage and took it out and it just been sitting until yesterday.and I'm going to check timing tomorrow also. As for the motor I have the dizzy,injectors all the parts that was on it when it ran fine.
