Default 89 gauge cluster question

ok i have a 89 dx, before i did the cluster swap i had a gauge cluster without a tach. i was reading online and i thought that since it was a 88-89 civic that it would be a plug and play with one out of a 88-89 crx... and was i wrong. when i plugged it in some stuff worked, but most didnt. to make it short i had to repin the back of it and everything works now except two things. my gas gauge doesnt work and my temp gauge... is there another groud that i have to run or something cause its wired correctly i have checked it like 6 times

I did the same thing to my cluster. You might have to buy a new one. How did the repin go? do you have continuity across all termials?

so you put a crx cluster in a hatch? i know the crx clusters have things set up differntly as far as the layout, but for pins, i am not sure.. when i swapped in my cluster, i just kept to a si model out of a hatch... since i couldnt find a sedan that had a tach...
