Im currently underway in swapping out my blown d15b7 motor to a d16y8 into a 93 eg civic hatchback. Has anyone done this swap before as im not sure with the engine mounts in regards to the left top mount near the power steering pump and also the rear mount bracket do i need to swap these both over to the d15 stuff or is there a way to make it work becuase i have tried to install the motor but it just wont line up

use the mounts/brackets that were on the motor that's coming out.

 

yea thats right..the other 2 mounts should line up perfect but the drivers side mount u have to use the one from the D15 because of the way the mount is that they use for the Y8

 

so the tranny just bolts up to the d16y8 sweet
