clock and dome light problems :$
got two problems from my newly brought ej1 coupe...
1.clocks turns off when headlight/parking lights is turn on, doesn't keep time memory
and
2. the dome light doesn't seem to work on both on and door open position
fuse are good, no blown fuses... bulb in dome light seems to be good... haven't much yet really diagnose both of them yet, would just like your input on this if it ever happened to you... everything else works great...

honestly, i have no idea what that could be. maybe a bad ground, or loose/cut wire.
If it were me, i'd start by following the wires to see where they go. if i still couldn't
figure it out, i'd just run a new ground & power wire to each of them. just my opion tho.

I agree with the idea about a bad ground for the clock problem. Check the ground wire connection to the engine bay near the passenger headlight.
The dome light switch itself might be bad.

Here is the wiring diagrams for the domelight and door switches from the Honda Service manual. Is your clock in the OEM radio or do you have an aftermarket stereo?
