new tires or susp?
so i just picked up some new wheels bbs rx 18x8 +40 for $300. wondering if i should buy some tires or buy some coilover+shocks? i have neuspeed race springs already but want to go lower, but also want to put the new wheels on. i dont want to spend all that money at once so only one of he two options will do. tires or susp? my other question is if i buy the tires what size should i get? 215-40-18, 215-35-18, 205-40-18? the car is going to be slammed so dont want to rub.

I vote tires as well for two reason's.
First, those are some really nice wheels, and it would be a shame for them to sit in your garage un used.
Second is that tires are a key component of your cars suspension system. No matter how much work you do to your suspension, your car's performance will ultimately be limited by how much grip your tires make with the road.
Generally speaking, a car with sticky tires and stock suspension will be faster than a car with a good suspension and non-sticky tires.
Good luck with your project.
