Does anyone have a picture of the ITR lip from the underside of the car? I have an OEM lip on my GS-R, but was under the car and noticed that there were tabs on the underside of the lip that appeared to be attachment points, but there were no fasteners there. I'm ASSUMING there are supposed to be fasteners on the underside, but there's nothing. It doesn't seem that Honda/Acura would ONLY attach the lip at the screw points by the wheels.

I was hoping someone had the picture like from the parts catalog that shows the lip and all the fasteners. It would be especially useful to have that with the actual part numbers!

Now, part #s 29 and 38....are those parts what holds the lip UP? I can't see the back, underside of the lip in that picture, but aren't there small mounting points that stick out back there? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Metal brackets hook unto the slots on the bottom of the bumper. The metal brackets have threaded nuts on them basically. You mount the lip up and then bolt the lip to the brackets hooked on the car.

 

Hmm...sounds like the person that put this lip on HALF ASSED it! I'll have to take a picture next time I have it up on a lift or jackstands

 

I'm only posting what my experience with Honda lips has been. There is the possibility this lip mounts differently, but I doubt it.

 

Damn if they hadn't thrown my bumper into the dumpster I would have pulled the metal brackets off for you to use.

 

Those brackets are gold. I think Honda's installation kit is something like $90 for a few brackets, bolts and screws.
