Type-S Tranny vs Type-R Tranny

can anyone tell me specificly what is the difference in those trannys besides the LSD? thanks and does it hurt your car if you swap a type-r tranny to the type-s? thanks

No it wouldn't hurt your car if you swap the type-r tranny to ur type-s... as for differences... the flywheel is a little lighter, lsd, the gear ratios are a little shorter...

specificly, the gear ratios are shorter.

what year type-s? 05-06 trans have a different speed sensor on them.....speed sensor is a pia to change.
