Default Tires/Camber Kit/Extended Warranty

Well, here it is...

My 2007 Civic SI just came out of service and I'm in need of tires. The car is dropped 1.5" all around, so I'd like to get my hands on a good camber kit, but I'm not sure who to go with. I had Skunk2 on my EG, but I'm not sure what to use for the FG2s. I'm looking at some different tires and I've narrowed it down to two. For the price, you can't really beat it. Here they are:

Very low profile, but Pirellis are great tires.

Reviews are slightly worse, but going back up to a 45 instead of a 35.

BTW, I like the way 225s look opposed to 215s on the car. Fuzion also makes a 225/40/17 which would be a compromise, so I need some input.

And my car has 28880 on it, so I want to upgrade before 33,000 miles. My service consultant priced me a 5 year/100000 mile warranty at 1430 + tax. Do this seem about right, or should I haggle some more?

Thanks,
Bob

for the front you only need a set of bolts, for the back you have a choice between replacing the camber arms or just throwing on a pair of camber adjusters.

front bolts: http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...roducts_id=699

rear camber adjusters that go on the stock camber arms: http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...oducts_id=3339

Would you recommend the arms over the adjusters for any reason? As long as my alignment shop can successfully adjust them, I can have corrected alignment for only $170. That's awesome...

well, people were saying on 8thcivic that the rear adjusters might slip over time, but that's technically true with any bolt and we don't see our suspension just falling apart with time. the rear adjusters just recently came out so there aren't any long-term reviews for them.

i'm getting ready to lower my car and will probably go with the adjusters myself. if you look at the link i put up above, you can add the ingalls front bolts for $15 to your order of the rear adjusters, for a total of $150 shipped. that comes out to about half as much as the rear camber arms + bolts, so it's definitely a much better deal.

as for adjusting the camber, keep in mind that having a little negative camber improves handling. i'm shooting for 1 degree in the rear and 1.5 in the front on mine.

just wanted to point something out about the 2 tires you mentioned in your first post; the pirelli is a summer tire while the other one is all-season. what kind of weather are you going to be driving in with these tires? summer tires aren't designed for freezing temps. gotta figure out exactly what type of tire you need before comparing individual tires.

as for the warranty, what exactly does it cover? extended warrantys usually aren't worth the money, especially since you're modifying the car.

Well I'll throw winter treads on in the winter. Is the 35 too low of a profile? And the warranty is going to be good for the engine/tranny/elec/bumper to bumper. As long as I don't void it, which requires modding the head/block or somethine crazy.
