ok, on my 90 ef sedan with the retractable seatbelts.....
they dont work. no ding or light when im not wearing it.
no retracting.
no nothing.
i checked the "under seat harness". and i cleaned the fuse holder on the battery.
i thought honda covered anything related to seatbelts free of charge.
i went to my local dealer and the dousche that sets up appiontments told me that its a charge or 70 bucks just to look at it to see whats the problem. wtf.

and help would be thankfull,

 

It should be only 70$ if they find something to be the cause that isn't covered under the warranty. They said the same thing to me about 5 years ago, and since it was the motor, no charge.

 

What Dr. Latino said, they will only charge you that if they find something wrong with it that is not a Honda defect. It's a scare tactic to get you to not have it checked out.

But be ready for it, it's been almost a month since I requested my seatbelt service and nothing yet.

 

Like the others say: The problems you describe are warranty items. Their repair should not cost an owner a single red cent, regardless of what number owner a person is on these Civics. The service advisor may be a little ignorant of the warranty on belts. Call Honda at its main number from its web site and see if they can direct you. Or go gack to the dealer with a copy of the warranty in hand.

Took a dealer about a week to fix my 91 Civic's seat belt (would not retract; all else worked) back in 2001. No problems since.
