Default Filter choice for modded stock airbox

What filter is everyone running with your modded stock airbox? I've got the standard K&N drop in for the stock box but I'm looking for something to fill the entire thing up now if possible. I did a couple searches and noticed a few people using a "green racing" filter over on S2ki and S2000.com. I wasn't really a fan as I would prefer to stay K&N.

Thanks in advance.

Do they have any dyno proven results showing gains over the K&N?

To be honest, I have no idea. I just figured why not throw a bigger filter in there if possible. The drop in only fills about half the box.

so, a larger filter = more power gains?

Ha. So do we have a definitive answer on the available filters?

Yes, the OEM one is green, but is a paper element. HKS uses a foam-type element, which is excellent for airflow, but not so great at trapping contaminants. This is one of those areas where it's really personal preference. Do you want to get the most air possible into the engine or do you want to keep the most dirt out?

My advice would be to just stick with the K&N. It allows for more airflow while the oil helps to trap a good amount of those extra contaminants. The box was purposely designed to have excess air volume.
