Default Map sensor questions

I have a 91 crx, was originally a DPFI model. I bought it with no engine/trans. Slowly but surely I acquired all the parts needed to make it a B-series engine. I have it all in and its finally up and running. Only problem, originally with the DPFI engine the map sensor was on the fire wall, and it has a circle plug, and a 2 wire rectangle plug. On the LS (B18b) I got, it's on the throttle body, and doesn't have the second connector for the rectangle plug. Where do I plug that in?

The reason I ask, is because with both disconnected the car runs and drives, just not very well, but with the circle plug connected only it wont even start unless i'm holding the gas. The second I let off the gas, it dies. And I know its not the map sensor, cuz i've tried others. Same outcome every time. Do I need to go track down a firewall mounted one, and use that? Or is there somewhere these other 2 wires will plug in and work properly? I need to know asap. If you all need pics, let me know. Thanks.

the 2 pin rectangular connector goes to a vaccum solenoid for emissions purposes. it will run fine with the tb mounted map. this is what mine looks like, and you can see where the 2 pin plug goes.

also, what kinda codes are you getting, if any?

see, thats the problem, My car doesn't have the firewall mounted one. Just the one on the tb. I don't have any of the emissions stuff hooked up, cuz it was all cut out by the previous owner. And I'm not sure if I get codes. When it's connected, I don't get any, but it won't fire. When it's disconnected, I just get a steady CEL. I dunno what I should do. Should I go find the wall one, and get all the emissions stuff connected properly?

its common for people to delete the evap canister so i dont think that is where your problem lies. whether you used the stock map or the one on the tb, they both should work. so maybe the wiring to the map is somehow fubared, or perhaps its something else altogether. thats weird that you get a steady cel when the map is unplugged.. cause it should be blinking 3 times to indicate an issue with the map.. hmmm

it could be that the wiring is "fubared" like you said. lol. when i got the car the kid before me had made crazy mod's to the car's wiring, for a newer d15b7 i think, with nos, so it was wired for vtec, mpfi, and n2o. So, first thing I did, was go and put all the wires back to normal down by the ecu, but maybe he made mods further down the line that I didn't see. If i could find a pinout chart for where the map is supposed to be plugged into, i would just hard wire the plug and try that. I wanna try to get the canister and all that just so it looks complete under the hood. My engine bay looks kinda half assed as is. i'll upload a pic in a sec.

as you can see, there is nothing on the firewall. the inlet going to the tb is taped off, the purge canister on the right of the IM is taped off, i have none of the vacuum lines ran, except for the one that goes to the fuel thing. any ideas or suggestions would be great.
