heres the deal I have a d16z6 in a 90 civic.It had a TD-02u dizzy I took it off and put a TD-42u and my car wont start.I have a obdo jumper to obd1 but my car wont start with TD-42 can someone help me out.my ECU is a pr3

 

I am assuming that the pr3 is odb1, are you getting spark to the new distributor? Is the td-42 a new or used dizzy? The coil might have went bad if it's used. Are you sure your conversion harness for your dizzy plugs are correct? Did you do them or is the harness purchased from a reputable company?

 

the pr3 is obdo.The jumper i bought it.I think it might be my ecu.If I put that old distributor on the car will fire right up.The old dizzy is also obdo.

 

It's because the td-42 is an obd1 dizzy atleast according to the part sites and thats why the car wont fire. You are using an obd1 dizzy with an OBD 0 ECU. If you pickup a p28 with a obd1 conversion harness you will be set to go.

they use a different number of triggers on obd0 and obd1 for the position sensor
