Hello name is Chris, and I will be re-building together a 1990 Honda Civic Hatchback.
Pictures are soon to come, car was $200 with no motor/axels/tranny.. Just the good 'ol shell.
Plans are to get camber kit, lower car get rims. Good DD.
I have a d16 v-tec motor laying around, and I was wondering: what do I need to get my Civic up and running.
What can I use from the civic?
Motor mounts, axels, shift linkage, tranny, ecu.. Im planning on posting pictures and keep those interested updated, this build is with money I would waste on video games, fast food, strip club, so expect a slow build lol.

Bolts right up. If the car is dpfi, you will need to convert to mpfi (not hard) a cable d series trans, convert to obd1, p28 ecu, d series axles

you can use the hydro tranny, but you will deny yourself of videogames and fast food for a LONG time because they are $. you can use any D-series cable tranny and since you are not going for a performance build then a DX tranny might be a decent choice to save same gas in the long run.
What model is this shell? If it's an STD then you will be limited on axles.
Hmm... I tried Z6 axles a long time ago and the CV joint interfered with my steering knuckle and bound up to the point where it wouldn't roll at all. You may be limilted to the 88~91 axle.
