Default B16A1 swap

I recently purchased a B16A1 for my 91 CRX Si...i have the origonal D16A6 out, but I want to clearify a few things if I can before i start the process of dropping in the B16A1.....first off, does my 91 Si have a Vtec wiring harness pre-installed from the facotory....if so, where is it?....and if not, where is a good place to get one. and my last question is this, do i need any type of mounting kit for it?

you need to get a PR3 ecu for the B16 so everything will work. call HA SPROT (602-470-0065) to see what kind of jumper you need to plug in the ecu and have it working with the motor.

Good luck

While you are on the phone with hasport you can also order a mount kit for the b16 and the shift linkage kit that they sell.

Or have you PM6 ECU reprogramed by ZDyne like I did. Runs Great. http://www.zdyne.com

You will need to either buy a Vtec subharness from Hasport or another source or fabricate one yourself. The 88-91 civic/crx does not have a pre wired Vtec harness. You will also need a mount kit to drop it into your crx. Hasport, HCP, or Place Racing are three that I can think of offhand. Good Luck

Dood To Wire up vtec its only 4 wires from motor to ECU , easy so do it yourself. The new hasport billit mounts are very nice for only 400 and u might as well get ther adjustable shift linkage
