Do you think a 3000K HID kit it better or the Yellow 2500K PIAA bulbs? Pics would be great too. What are pro and cons? Thanks.

My buddy has yellow lensed housings on his xterra, he's currently running 3000k's in them and the output is a very strong yellow with a hint of amber... Are the housings you're using yellow or clear lensed?

My experiances with yellow bulbs is a bad one, same buddy but with a different car had H1 clear lensed fog lights and after a month of use his bulbs burned out/melted the glass and failed cause they were yellow dipped...

They work great and allow you to see further up the road. You wont blind people either if you leave the glare shield on and aim them properly.

I had 3000k hid's in my ej7's foglights for over a year and never had any problems with them.

Yellow with 3k yields a very bright yellow/amber and is very useable in bad weather (been in my buddies truck in a white out blizzard with them. Clear with 3k will be more of a pure yellow depending on the bulb (either it's dipped tinted or chemically modified), I've not used/seen yellow with 4300-5000k but I'm betting it'd be more yellow/ light amber depending again on the bulb and the color of the lens.

Clear with 3k will be the best if you want the yellow output but not the yellow lens, I personally went with yellow lens for the reason that it's cheaper to buy regular h3's than buy more expensive tinted h3's but I've yet to put a pnp kit into mine...
