1992 Integra GSR: headgasket leak..
Hey there. I just purchased a new Integra GSR but it has a leaking head gasket. I do not know how long it has been leaking, but what I do know is that this is an oil leak (it is leaking from the side of the engine, and my mechanic said its only an oil leak)
My question to you is, how long can I drive with a leaking head gasket? If I keep an eye on my oil, and add some oil here and there, will it be okay? (I dont plan on driving too far, but will this cause any damage to the engine?) Or is it best to not drive it at all?

i have no idea but im having the same problem dissy side. what i plan to do is clean and try to re torque. i have head studs but im worried that the oil between the head and the block will prevent it from sealing. does anyone think removing the head is necessary?
You can try to retorque them but I doubt that will fix it. Its already broken the seal and once that happens you will need to replace it. When you do replace it make sure you or whoever does replace it spray the headgasket with copper spray. This will ensure the seal and always a good precaution.
It'll be fine to drive on it if you just make sure that you have enough oil in there. Also keep an eye on your coolant as well. Make sure you dont overheat and you dont milkshake (oil and water mixing).
