Default Tranny swap

this sounds hella noob but can you swap out the tranny from an automatic to manual and if you can is it difficult and would you recommend it

Yes it is possible, however it costs a lot of money and it is much more than just swapping the tranny.

Off the top of my head, you need:

Tranny
Clutch kit, flywheel
Shift linkage
Pedal Assembly
Clutch Master/slave cyl
Manual shifter assembly

I also think the tranny mount is different, and you have to do things such as wire up your backup lights/etc to work.

Anyhow, people do it. It will take a lot of work, some good money, patience, and friends with tools. Best way to do a tranny swap is to sell your auto and buy a manual.
