obd2 harness question

Default obd2 harness question

ok so i have a 97 civic shell and i got a 00 d16y8 with the stock ecu from the d16y8 and i got both harnesses the 98 harness and the 00 harness which one would i need and i also bought a OBD2B to OBD2A harness adapter and i heard i need a OBD2A to OBD2B conversion harness can someone please lemme know wha i would need to have to run thanks ahead of time fellas

if your using the obd2b ecu and obd2b wire harness then you'll be fine.. if you use the obd2a wire harness and obd2a ecu then u'll be fine.. if you use the obd2b harness and obd2a ecu then yes you will need the jumper harness.. if you use the obd2a harness and the obd2b ecu then you will need the according jumper harness.. i suggest because its a 97 car to use the obd2a harness and obd2a ecu.. if you dont have both of those then used both the obd2b harness and ecu.. no need for a jumper unless ur mix-matching
