Default Do d15 head gaskets have issues?

I have a 90 CRX DX, with 300,00 on it.
I bought it with 135k on it.
At 160k I replaced a leaking head gasket. It was spraying out antifreeze in the front of cylinder one.
Not long after that I snapped a timing belt coming out of 3rd at around 3000rpm.
Installed a new belt for 18.95 and was on my way.
Sometime after that I snapped another. Same deal, installed another and went.

Then at around 270k i did a valve job on it. It left me stranded with 0 compression in Santa Fe, NM, 800 miles from home. No warning. Drove there fine from AZ, next day ran for 5 seconds then went blaaaahhhh. Stop.

I towed it home, ripped the head off, and ran solvent past many of the valves. Leaked right by.

So the valve job. This was around 30,000 miles ago at 260k.
Now...

300,000 approx, started smoking burning oil, got worse.
Checked compression about 6 weeks ago, and #2 had about 80 psi in it. The rest were 170+.
Dont have cash then, drove it.

Yesterday, im on the highway doing around 95mph at 4000rpm, and she starts losing power. I make it home, but now she sputters, dies, wont idle, no power.

Tonight - I do compression test. This time number 1 cyl has 0 compression, and number two has 150psi. UP FROM 80 PSI 6 WEEKS ago!

So I figure I jumped the T-Belt.

I line it all up, spin it over 4-5 times. Its good.

Valves are all working. Springs seem to be intact and operating, and no pieces of anything in the rocker area, T-Belt is tight.

Oil leak at cylinder head/block mating surface at front of engine.

Do these engines just have bad head gasket problems, or am I missing something?????

Thanks for reading.

seems like maybe you warped a head one of the first times it overheated, causing the newer ones to be more prone to failing.

then again my 91 std only had 176k now, so its still kinda young compared to your engine.

have you milled the head or decked the block so that they are flat? I would suggest that you have them checked for flatness

No Honda's have head gasket issues as long as everything is flat.

It doesnt have an overheating problem. No cooling issues whatsoever.
Just burning oil.
