Default I can't figure out the search feature...

OK, I'm trying to follow the directions and not be a dumbass by posting stuff that's already been answered. But this forum is apparently so popular that it's changed the search feature since I was here last.

I can't find any of the archived content. I've got an '00 Accord SE, and I'm trying to verify the motor H-series? And line up a suitable 5 speed swap. I think I've got a good start, but I don't want to go off with only half the info.

I'm sure someone has already asked where to find replacement tranny's, what are good ones, how to rebuild, whether to buy new, etc.

I'm just not having luck narrowing down the search. Sorry guys, but thanks for your help.

I understand that when you click on SEARCH, ADVANCED SEARCH should give you better results. So I've heard at least.

Your best bet is to go to Google, type in your search terms and then end it with "site:honda-tech.com".

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I pretty much came to the same conclusion. I don't really like the new Search. I managed to figure things out to get a bit better results, but not much. I'll stick to Google and your recommendations.

You have ether an F23A1 or F23A4

What type of gearing are you looking for? Race, street strip or daily driver.

Any 5sp M/T out of a 4 cyl 98-02 Accord will work with your car. Simple swap, unless your car is currently an A/T chassis. That will be a bit more work. Where to get one all depends on your budget?

Thanks for the codes. Found in Wikipedia, mine's a ULEV, so it's an F23A4, CG5 chassis.

Looking for a daily driver, but I don't mind more performance if the cost isn't outrageous.

Yes it's an A/T chassis. I'm not worried about the work. I have another vehicle I can drive while this project is underway.
