Default Swaybar vs Oilpan

Looking for opinions or advice.

Im hoping to get both sooner or later. But wondering what you guys would purchase first between the beaks swaybar kit, or moroso baffled oil pan for my 94 integra?

My suspension is skunk2 coilovers 8k/6k, kyb agx shocks, stock front & rear swaybars. My car is pretty much used for hpde's and some driving in the summer.

So If you guys had to choose between both, which would you get first.

Swaybar.

I've done multiple HPDEs with my stock 2000 GSR oil pan without issue. The only time I have had oil starvation was during auto-x, towards the end of a slalom (tossing the oil back and forth around the pan), and when I was at the bottom mark on the dip stick.

If I keep the oil up to the top mark (or slightly over), I don't oil starve.

Yeah, I usually run the oil a little over. I dont have a oil psi gauge to tell If my motor is starving or not. It would be hard to see where it is in a curve anyway.

Get the swaybar kit. Unless you are running a steeply banked oval, you wont need the baffled pan. The lowest I've seen on my B16 is about 35psi. Only when climbing the right hand, uphill turn 7 at VIR north.

Pan = engine potentially not blowing up = winnar. Swaybar won't do you any good while the car is sitting on blocks waiting for a motor rebuild or whatever.

<-- Have seen massive pressure fluctuations without the pan, and way better consistency with the pan. Fan of the pan.

BUT, what motor do you have? The LS pans are better about it, and the LS motors are less touchy to big fluctuations in pressure. If VTEC, I personally would do the pan first thing.

For what its worth, I have been road racing for 5 years on the stock oil pan (engine=B18A) and had absolutely no problems. Although, the LS pan does have a baffle (probably not as nice as the Moroso, but it apparently works).

Save your moroso money and buy the heeltoe oil pan baffle plates for 24$ and weld them into you stock pan...this is a far better solution then that pan.

I have a gsr motor at the moment.

I also thought about going the weld in baffled route to save some cash. But dont know many people that run the weld-in baffles, or have any feed back on that route. If I did go that route I would be able to get both swaybar and oil pan.

My buddy runs a set of the heeltoe plates in his gsr pan, going on almost 2 yrs now, the plates are constructed well, fitment was good when i put them in the pan for him.

I just picked up a set to throw into a new pan, so that i can replace my leaky moroso pan

The plates + swaybar sounds like the best bet. I don't think the plates do the best job at controlling oil flow in the pan, but they do seem to be sufficient.

For sure get the pan if your running slicks, I picked up a morosso pan a few years back for under $150.

I've used the Heeltoe plate in a GSR pan on a B20/vtec now for a little over a year. 12 Auto-x and 4 Track day and not one issue. The track days are on Nashville SuperSpeedWay where the straight are on the banks. Pulled the Pan this winter to check the bearings and they are all good no sign of wear.

Has anyone seen the plates that password sells? They look more effective than the heeltoe.

It doesn't look THAT different from the Heel/Toe one. I would think the difference would be sort of negligible, as both surround the pickup, and that's the important part.

That's just the OEM style pan with the baffle. I assume he's talking about their road race pan, which is p/n 20910...

Those are around $250.

The factory pan worked fine for street tires. I only got the Moroso pan because it made me more comfortable running R-compounds.

it looks like a close copy of the baffles in a mugen pan for the b-series.

+1 for a baffled oil pan.

I agree with o-man. I've been on full-course tracks for 6 years with a stock oil pan and no issues. The only reason I have a Moroso now is that I was having heat issue with the turbo build and needed the extra qrt of oil for cooling purposes.
A sway bar is going to help the stability and handling of your car. The Moroso will give you more show points though.

would you guys get the plates coated after you install them? Would they rust If you left them un-coated after they were welded in?
