i know there threads simialer to this but i want everyone opion so anyway im plannin to put a ls swap in my hatch and turbo it i dont want to do any internal work but i wanna hit 300whp safely as a dailydriver i wanna know can u run stock internals in a ls and have it be a relaible dd let me know b-4 i go on a spending spree and to make sure im not going the wrong way
Now I'm not 100% sure, but I would bet some light reading in the 783 page LS-T thread might be a good place to start. That or the search function since this questions gets asked at least 3-4 times a week...
check out that huge *** LS turbo thread. Many of the guys that do 300whp are doing it as their daily drivers. I dont think many people who turbo their cars do it with reliability out of the question.
i have a friend who is doing 280whp on a stock ls for about 25k miles now and still running strong. He just finsihed building a sleeved b18c and is aiming for 500whp now.
lets just say, if you do everything right (tune and good turbo parts) it will last long enough so that you will have more than enough money to buy a better block by the time it goes.

yeah i looked on that thread but i was just thinkin that 300whp would be pushing it for stock ls internals as a dd anyone else and how long u had it turboed
As long as your motor has healthy compression, your setup is efficient, with quality parts, and you have a reputable tuner, you should be good to go for a long time. My buddy has been running a 304 whp LS for two years now, and still going strong. He inspired me to take mine to 301, and mine is bone stock.
Do your research, get a quality kit with a turbo that matches your goals, get a good tune, and happy boosting! ;-)

i had an ls turbo, it made 309whp at 18psi. drove the **** out of it for a year and a half. after i got bored with it sold the turbo kit, sold the long block to my friend and he made over 400whp on it. beat the **** out of that, and he then sold the car to some guy as for as i know its still runing probably.

anyone have a stock internal ls-t in an ek hatch with some 1/4 times and any idea on some setups or what u runnin to achieve 300whp relaibly
i did it, you will need quality parts and a good tune. I was at 300hp/260tq in a dc for a whole year, nothing went wrong but i also didn't drive my car hard a lot.
