boosted f22b close port
i recently got all my turbo parts together put everything on and when i started it there was oil coming out of the hot side of the turbo, a bad seal is what im thinking so i went ahead and ordered a brand new one. the turbo iwas using was used anyways so that wasnt a big deal. evrything else is brand new. if you have any ideas of what else it could be or what im missing let me know. plus what kinda boost i might b able to run on stock enternals. thanks joe
I have a f22b i run 8psi on the street when i go to the track i turn it up to 12psi. the next time i go to the track i am taking it up to 15 psi and slicks. If at 15 psi it holds i may go to 20 psi. I have 880cc injectors and a 60-1 turbo. these engines are cheap also so i dont care if i blow it. i have 3 of them and i dont think i have give over 250$ for any of them. I think this engine is stonger than people give it credit.I have sprayed it with a 100 shot dry for a while. Now i am boosting and abusing it every time i drive it my compression checks good alway across. I know how to tune so i use a EGT gauge and a wideband to keep my eye on the engine.
i am a cheap a$$ when it comes to buying stuff. i think any wideband would work i have a jaw wideband from 14point7.com. You have to know i am a DIY kinda guy most stuff like crome and jaw dont have the tech support like hondata aem. For tuning i use crome for dataloging i use freelog. Crome and freelog are free to down load on Pgmfi.org. Crome was easy to work and install. Freelog dont realy have bugs or anything you just have to really read alot and educate your self on freelog. i built my own manifold nothing speacial but i do have a tig welder. if you dont have a welder i would get a manifold from ebay. i realy dont know many companies that make the for f22b engines. I bought a ebay universal intercooler piping kit with clamps and hoses. Now on the intercooler turbo wastegate and bov i would not skimp on a cheap parts. i have a turbonetics turbo and wastegate. i have a tial bov. i bought everything used from friends and honda-tech users.i got my 880cc injectors and 3 bar map from ebay phereable store.
