I recently had my obd-0 b16 worked on at a local shop to have the cylinder's replaced. After a day of getting it out the shop i noticed it starting to bog out after 30 minute's in to driving. It ran really good after the first couple of days. Then all of sudden it ran strange. It also feel's it doesn't have all the power. The accelerator feel's a little weak when i get on it. The engine start's right up and feel's totally normal but it seem's when it reaches the normal tempature it start's running funny. I had thought it could be the fuel pump n filter as well as the spark plugs but after installing it i soon found it that wasn't the problem. For example if im 4th gear and as soon as i notice that it's starting to bog out then im forced to downshift to regain power :/. I've been told it could be that my timing may be off?? So my question is where should the timing be? The motor is an obd-0 b16. I havent yet checked to actually see where its at now, but just wondering if any1 has had this problem b4. I also remember before it started to run funny i threw a cel #2, but when i turned my car back on after checking the cel was gone. Could it be my secondary 02 sensor?? Im stuck wondering why it came on n shut off so quickly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
the cel light only comes on when an error occurs, and the error code is stored in the ecu until you pull the hazard fuse to reset the ecu. it could be a fault in the wiring somewhere. do check your timing with a timing light, it will tell you more than anyone can guess if it is off.
