Default FIRE under the dash!!! which harnesses will work?

i just traded my 5-speed 1990 HF CRX with 170K on it (bone stock and lowered with dents in almost every panel) straight up for a 5-speed 94 SI prelude with a JDM h22a swap in it (much cleaner body too). the prelude had a small electrical fire under the dash, right by the throttle and C.C. cables. ive got to change the under dash harness. which year and model prelude harnesses will work? does it have to be 93-up or will a 92 work?

WIRE HARNESS, DASBOARD
32107-SS0-A23

I crossed referenced the part number for your wire harness and it shows up as being only for '94 Prelude Si coupes with a manual transmission. I find it unlikely that no other year would even work though.

Hopefully this bump will help bring in someone who can add more insight.

It appears the Under Dash Harness was some what interchangeable in it's Year Model, but their were different parts numbers for each different Year Model..

I would imagine they would be interchangeable from the same Model, Trim Level, though at least..

i was thinking any 93-96 5speed si harness was going to work, being that the gauges were different on the 92. now i see there are separate harnesses, gotta pull the dash and figure out which is burnt. id bet that all the SIs had the same harnesses too, makes no sense to re-tool to build a different harness for each year.. cost sense. where is a good place to find these used?

'92 AND '93 have different Gauges than '94 - '96.

I'd lean more toward '94 - '96 5spd Harnesses..

But yes, finding out what/which is burnt would be best.. Might could even repair it..

I'd say eBay or someone parting out a car..

JESUS

The under dash harness--- is $1300 from all the honda part websites.

Thank god I dont need one now... just thought I'd start stocking some parts that will likely be going out of production someday that would be nice to keep for when needed.

I was thinking $100-200 max... $1300??? thats freakin insane!

Almost makes more sense to make your own harness for that price!

1300 is about right.

They dont just sell you a few wires for the harness. They sell you the whole 100 lbs of wiring that go under the dash board.

www.car-part.com

You probably won't find the harness listed there, but just see if you can find some cars in your area that will work for you.
