Icon6 Intercooler Piping VS. 99 00 Civic Foglights

Anyone else have this battle? I'm almost to the point of yelling, cussing, and breaking stuff. What's the best and easiest solution to avoid contact between the piping and foglight brackets? Maybe I've mounted my intercooler in a bad spot, its bolted to the bottom of my front bumper support due to me not wanting to take the support off and have my bumper dancing around everywhere. Where is the best place to mount my intercooler? Do i need to just make brackets to weld to the lower radiator support?? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated seeing as I'd love to have every part of my Si back together thanks!

I ended up ditching my fog lights cause I couldn't get a pipe to fit without a million cuts and bends

hes using our fmic piping kit along with our type 1 intercooler. you need an fmic with the inlet and outlet on the bottom. and you need to strategically mount it to fit the tubing UNDER the foglight, and you will also need to cut out the bracket a bit to fit the tubing without hittin the bumper or bracket system

Its not even that much of a pain to remove the bumper, just do it and it should be much easier...although if it was me I'd just ditch the foglights. Honestly who cares about foglights when your about to get boosted, besides being able to see the piping and intercooler looks sexier in my opinion than do foglights.

lol, i just got the foglights! and i wasnt talking about removing the bumper, i was saying i do not want to remove my bumper support. the metal bumper that seats in behind the plastic outer bumper. either way, im kind of stuck right now, i could always slap it together just to get it on there, but im a huge fan of(even tho its a cheap ebay kit) doing it properly the first time, cuz even when i have to replace parts on the kit, as long as everything is mounted and routed properly i really wont be having to do it all over again. but i definitely want to keep my foglights, just scroll up and look at that red Si Mmmm thats so sexy, mine is identical only the color is black. thanks for the opinions!

bust out the 4 inch or the 4.5 inch right angel cut off wheel and go to work and cut it and lay the intercooler inside

The only and i mean only wat to make it work is to remove the front bumper support and flip your intercooler upside down so the piping runs right about the fog lights I tried every other ption to make it work. I guess you could make it work but you will have really really tight bends and may look ugly. other then that unless you have a little intercooler. Im running a Precision 700HP intercooler there is no other way trust this was hours trying every possible option.

double backdoor is a pain on my wallet. im 24, have custody of my 2 year old son, and gettin ready to buy a house lol, i cant afford buying all of this overpriced stuff at once. im going to look into that style of intercooler when i can afford it, so if anyone has some links for proven reliable, low pressure drop, quality backdoor intercoolers then feel free to post them up. thanks fellaz!
