New Kumhos R tire problems
I bought a set of 205/50x15 for the track. They lasted 2 sessions, about 50 minutes then the fronts chunked badly. My rep would not replace them & Kumho will not respond to my emails. My rep said I over drove these R tires.
I was testing them to try for my race car. If they passed the lapping day I'd switch my Toyo RA1's to Kumhos as they do have more grip. Alas 2 sessions are not enough as a race weekend consists of 2 prac, 2 qual, 3 races.

You probably did overdrive them, or did not heat cycle them properly. I've had both the Victoracer and Ecsta V700, and both lasted three full weekends...

My Ecsta v700s lasted 2 weekends of HPDEs and 2 weekends of racing(4 races) and there's still a little wear left in them. I think I'll have them swapped on the rim for the 5th weekend.
I assume one if not all of the following applies in your situation: 1)Did not heat cycle them properly 2)Did not have them shaved 3)Possibly didn't use correct pressures and 4)Over-drove the tires all together............. Any one of the 4 combinations can ruin a set of tires.

1. I did heat cycle them
2. No, did not shave them
3. Ran pressures hot at 40
4. How do you over drive R compounds?

My non-educated Cliffs Notes:
1. Run lower pressure
2. Check alignment
3. Don't overdrive
