I have a 02 Accord EX V6 Coupe with 76k miles. This morning on my way to work, I noticed my parking brake light stayed on with the brake released. I set the brake and released it numerous times, which had no effect. I’m not sure if it was just in my head or not, but the brake felt looser when initially pulling it. Sat in traffic for a few minutes, and after I got going up to about 60mph for a few minutes, the light went off.

Obviously, I’ll see if this reoccurs, however… Is this cause for concern?

 

usually happens with cold weather, it could also be that you need to add a little brake fluid.

 

Hmmm, maybe it's because it was warm when I set the brake, and it got down to near freezing last night? I'll check the brake fluid when I get home.
