The engines can alwalys be beefed up. But in the end it is the wieght ratio that is going to win. Which is why I got the accord, with the better prelude engine.

Yea this is like beeting a dead horse, both cars a good cars and have huge aftermarket support for them, there almost identical in performance, the prelude having the edge.It comes down to which one you like better.I'm comparing a GSR to SH.I would go with the teg,but I own one so its a biased opionion.

I like the 4th gen Prelude VTEC..but I'm not going to compare it to an Integra. Try them both, make your decision.

listen to your self man.... and your LS is much better than a prelude VTEC. you can do better than 13.8 (my ***)
preludes have an advantage in displacement and plus all some other goodies, and the weight can be taken care of. mod for mod, my lude will destroy your LS any time. GSR too. and this topic has been beaten to death already, go ask your hommies in the teg forum. maybe you can find some friends there.
and how dare you come here and say that preludes suck? you suck, and your LS sucks, so go back to your integra forum and be smart overthere. you obviously have no clue what you're talking about.

p.s. everyone and their mom has an integra, so don't talk like they're far superior to preludes because they're far from that.

My Prelude bone stock at 90,000 miles ran several 14.70's.
STOCK.

Modded? Lets just say I've never, EVER lost to another N/A teg that was a street car.... in fact, I've beaten a JRSC teg, a juiced teg, and *gasp* even a turbo ls!

I hate to flame, but, you teg guys coming in here are ****. You don't know wtf you're talking about. I'm not going to tell you which one is "better." But I sure as **** will tell you which one is PROVEN TO BE FASTER.
4th Gen VTEC. I did a poll in the teggie forum a while back, and EVEN THE TEG GUYS AGREE.

As for "couldn't get better than a 13.80 turbo'd." Then your friend needs to stop driving altogether. Member VeeTec ran a 13.79 without even cracking his motor open. N/A.

The Prelude weighs more. YES. THAT'S WHY THEY GAVE US A THING CALLED TORQUE! We have .4L on the GSR.

So, stop all of your magazine racing, visor logic lovin' arguing and deal with the fact that a 4th gen VTEC is faster than your precious GSR.

Which one is better? Decide for yourself. Which one is faster? I just told you.

i would go for prelude becoz it looks ten times better than the integra,
especially the interior, integra looks kinda crappy.
go for the prelude

your first mistake... posting opinion like it was fact. And it just happened to be wrong. I don't take lightly to people posting wrong things in a tech forum.

Your second mistake... getting a smart *** with me. Enjoy the blank spot where your avatar used to be. I warned you... so don't go crying to anyone about it cause it's legit, and it's gonna stick.

your third mistake: "5th gen and up?" Um... it STOPS at 5th gen. There is no "and up."

fourth, and most important: there are 5th gens running faster than 13.80. How in the hell can you be so retarded to think that they can't? If HP.com wasn't down, and PO.com didn't charge you $6, I'd bother linking you to some street cars that run 12's.

Now, if you're done making an *** of yourself.... you may be excused.

Oh, and I'm not offended by what you wrote, I was actually getting a headache by your ScR33NaMe sTuNnNa b0y33333....

There both good cars and are very close in performance no MATTER what anyone says, were talking about 2 15 second cars that are a couple tenths of a second apart, and the base will just loose to a GSR.So lets keep it this way, there both nice the lude SH has a slight edge,END OF STORY someone lock this flaming thread. It depends,if you want a small nimble 8k reving 4 banger that handles good go with a GSR,if you want a little bigger car with a little more power and good handling as well go with the lude.Handling is a toss up,in some ways the lude handles better in some ways the GSR handles better,so lets stop the flaming and talking junk about each others car.

What do you mean the base will lose to the GSR???? Do you realize there is no difference between the base and the SH in power. The base is actually a little lighter than the SH due to the lack of ATTS. Hence, ADVANTAGE......Base!! Yes, both are good cars, but IMO the Prelude has a slight edge. Seems to be more solid and better quality than the Integra and just feels a little better. And no, this is not a my bias opinion because I own a Prelude, cause I also own an Integra.

That extra weight in the base takes it advantage away. But I will give the lude that, the SH without a doubt has an advantage and is a better sports car by a little.I'm not 1 of these biased flamers.
