Exhaust Manifold Ideas-B18c1 -Quiet; Maintain Low/Mid-Range power;Fit JDM DC2 ITR Cat
Car: EK Hatch
Engine: JDM 1995 OBD1 B18C1 (hence why I'm posting here)
Current breathing:
-Custom Stainless Steel intake w/K&N Cone & large cold air feed.
-JDM Integra SiR Manifold, JDM Integra SiR Cat, JDM EK4 Center Section; Spoon Street axle-back
To fit: JDM DC2 ITR CAT; EK9 Center section
I'm looking for manifold recommendations.
I would like something that maintains low/mid-range power, and does not increase noise.
I'm not expecting massive gains out of this. It's more to get a quality manifold, that will match up with the DC2 ITR's mammoth flange (hmm...choice of phrase...). This means it needs a 2.5" flange. (62.5mm), and bolt holes to match an ITR CAT's ones (too wide for SiR's)
Does the "Maintain low/mid-range" criterium mean that I should be looking for a 4-2-1?
I've found a 98Spec JDM ITR 4-1 for sale... though with shipping it will cost about €350 ($463).... I realise a new aftermarket one will cost a decent bit more than that but for somethign OEM and used, thats a little pricey I think...?

Yes, if you want "low/mid-range" then you would look for 4-2-1. Unless you can get the 97' ITR header which is 4-2-1. And you're motor isn't JDM if its a B18C1. but if you wanna go OEM. get the 97' spec header.
Thankyou for your recommendation.
As it happens, it looks like I'm getting a JDM 96 ITR manifold for free - its got a small crack which does not go right through, but for free, I'll take it for now. If the crack is nothing major I'll just get a friend to put some weld on it. Then when I have more cash I'll get something nice - so I'm still looking for recommendations please.
My engine is JDM.
The only Integras in Ireland until the European Type R was launched in 1998 were imported direct from Japan. The country is full of them. (since we drive on the left hand side of the road). My engine came out of a 1995 Integra Si Vtec.
Yes, you're right, its not stamped B18c1 - just B18c - but the JDM Integra Si or SiR was actually a B18c1 afaik - hence why I'm calling it that.

toda header would go nicely. as long as you keep the itr cat converter and the resonators in place. noise shouldnt be too much of an issue
